Use soft, even light

Place the machine near a bright window without direct sun. Avoid flash reflections on black enamel, chrome, and glossy keytops.

Required views

• Front, rear, both sides, and top.
• Keyboard straight-on.
• Paper table, carriage ends, and platen knobs.
• Ribbon cover open.
• Serial number in place.
• Underside and feet.
• Case exterior, interior, latches, and mounting points.
• A current typing sample.

Show flaws honestly

Photograph paint loss, rust, cracks, chips, missing parts, cord damage, repairs, and decals. Accurate photographs attract better-informed buyers and reduce disputes.
